Packaging

Faced with a rising market, how can you generate savings?

The purchase, management and budgeting of packaging play an important role in the life of some companies. Whether for products manufactured in-house or goods purchased from suppliers, their use also involves organizing the flow of orders, transport and storage.

Our Packaging offer therefore covers all the expenses involved in the life-cycle of a package, from design to delivery, including logistics. The aim of our work is to study all processes in order to rationalize costs, and includes the study of materials, organizational processes and the technology used.

Packaging, a multifunctional medium

Think technical quality as well as aesthetics

Packaging is used to package and sell, as well as to protect and transport. It’s the first image a customer has of a product when buying or delivering it, hence the importance of packaging, which complements the qualities of solidity and practicality.

The technical and aesthetic specificities required are not the same for primary, secondary or tertiary packaging. It is therefore important to consider the qualities of each type of packaging, in order to identify specific needs and control costs.

A product dependent on the cost of materials

The materials used to manufacture packaging are subject to global fluctuations in raw material costs and longer lead times. These two factors need to be monitored to keep control over the cost of packaging used by the company. As an expenditure item dependent on a variable context, packaging has become strategic.

To keep packaging-related expenses under control, you need to turn to the various players in the field – cardboard manufacturers, printers and converters – in order to :

  • find the most competitive prices;
  • determine the technical specifications of the packaging that companies need;
  • rethink the packaging process, in whole or in part.

A comprehensive approach to improving your packaging management

Materials, processes, technologies: we cover the entire packaging purchasing chain. Thanks to our global operational approach, you get the best out of your investments.

Our recommendations for packaging optimization

From packaging design, which determines costs, choice of raw materials, mechanical qualities, manufacturing, logistics and recycling, the entire value chain and life cycle can be analyzed and optimized.

A proven methodology

Full support, from initial discussions to final validation through production tests.

STEP 1: Mapping the company's packaging needs

This first step is essential to understand our customers' operating environment. We conduct interviews with all the profiles concerned by the mission, and build a map of packaging purchased over the last 12 months, segmented by technical family, by reference, by price, etc., in order to have a complete view of expenditure as well as operating methods.

STEP 2: Tender and strategy

This analysis enables us to propose a strategy to be implemented, then to draw up the associated call for tenders and manage it in its entirety.

STEP 3: Implementation of proposals

The final stage involves the implementation of financial, technical and organizational proposals. We accompany (including production line testing) the implementation of the recommendations chosen and validated by our customers.
